When a child is struggling at school, knowing why can make all the difference. This assessment builds a detailed picture of your child’s individual learning profile — their strengths, their areas of difficulty, and any underlying factors creating barriers.
Rather than looking at academic attainment in isolation, I explore how your child processes, remembers, understands and works with information, and how that relates to their reading, writing and mathematics.

Following every assessment I create an age-appropriate summary that explains what we explored, what we discovered and what they do well — in positive, child-friendly language, so they come away feeling understood and hopeful rather than defined by a difficulty.
Exam Access Arrangements Assessment
Providing evidence for appropriate examination support.
For some students, examinations place additional demands on reading speed, writing speed or processing speed, so exam performance does not accurately reflect what they know. This focused assessment provides objective, standardised evidence of whether a student has an identified need for examination accommodations.

They remove an identified barrier so a student has a fair opportunity to demonstrate their real ability. An assessment does not automatically guarantee an arrangement will be granted — the findings form part of the evidence used by the school or examination centre under the relevant regulations.

Finding the right school — not simply a good school.
Choosing a school is difficult. When your child has additional learning needs, ADHD, dyslexia or simply isn’t thriving where they are, it is harder still. With more than 25 years inside schools in Kenya, I can help you think carefully about which environment is most likely to suit your child.

ADHD & Executive Function support for parents
Individual coaching and the Calm & Connected programme.
An ADHD diagnosis should be the beginning of support, not the end of the process. Without understanding Executive Function, family life can easily become dominated by reminders, arguments, homework battles and worry.
I offer individual parent coaching alongside Calm & Connected, a structured seven-week programme covering communication, expectations, routines, emotional regulation, problem-solving and family relationships.
Prices are shown in US dollars, payable in dollars or the Kenya shilling equivalent. I offer a range of prices depending on individual family circumstances — if cost is a barrier, please do just ask. It will not be an awkward conversation.

When might a full assessment be helpful?
A comprehensive assessment may be appropriate when there are concerns around dyslexia or other Specific Learning Difficulties, literacy or numeracy development, processing speed, memory, attention, Executive Function, uneven academic performance, or an unexplained difference between a learner’s apparent ability and their achievement.
It can also be valuable when previous interventions have not produced the expected progress, when a young person is approaching an important educational transition, or when families and schools need a clearer understanding of how best to provide support.
What will we actually come away with?
Something far more valuable than a collection of test results: an understanding of how your child learns, what they do well, what gets in their way — and what can be done about it.
How long does an assessment take?
A comprehensive assessment takes approximately six hours and is often divided across two sessions or mornings where that suits the individual better. Regular breaks are provided. An Exam Access Arrangements assessment is shorter, usually two to three hours.
Do we need a diagnosis before coming to you?
No. Many families come to me precisely because they do not yet know what is going on. You also do not need a diagnosis to join the Calm & Connected parent programme.
Will the report be accepted by our school or exam board?
I am a registered assessor in the UK and registered with Kenya’s Counsellors and Psychologists Board, and I assess in line with the requirements of the relevant examining body. An assessment does not automatically guarantee that an access arrangement will be granted — the findings form part of the evidence your school, college or examination centre uses when making an application under the relevant regulations.
What if the cost is difficult for us?
Please just ask. I offer a range of prices depending on individual family circumstances, and it will not be an awkward conversation.
